In October 2019 Whatley Manor received the Independent Hotel Shows award for Innovation.

Whatley was the winner in recognition of the changes that General Manager, Sue Williams had instigated during 2019 to reshape the way the hotel operates delivering a more sustainable approach to a luxury hotel experience whilst also enhancing that experience for guests.
Sue commented; ” It’s lovely that the effort we put in is picked up and noticed by the industry. It is an especially great award for the team in the first year of our sustainability journey”
