Working towards being at the forefront of sustainability in the hospitality sector
Our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of our business. Achieving our sustainability goals is a whole team effort; every member of the team is empowered to contribute ideas to constantly improve our performance and reach our goals.
As a result of our collective commitment, since 2019 we have won several prestigious industry awards for sustainability.
In January 2021 The Dining Room was awarded the new Green Michelin star recognising restaurants at the forefront of the industry when it comes to sustainable practices, we are really proud to be one of the first and one of only 23 restaurants in the UK to be recognised in this way and to have retained the award in 2022.
In October 2021 we achieved Bronze accreditation through EarthCheck, the world’s leading business advisory group specialising in sustainability and destination management for the travel and tourism industry. A year later we went through a rigorous audit and we are delighted to become the first UK country house hotel to receive a Silver accreditation.
Our promise as a business is to strive towards a balance of purpose and profit, placing our social and environmental goals at the forefront of everything we do, being recognised for our work with awards and accreditations is incredibly motivating.
