The Dining Room at Whatley Manor, overseen by Executive Chef Niall Keating, has been presented the ‘ Taste of England Gold Award’ at the annual ceremony hosted by Visit England. The Michelin two-starred restaurant, located in the charming 23-bedroom Cotswold manor house hotel, showcases creative menus that match many diverse British, European and Asian flavours and techniques.
The Taste of England judges remarked on Whatley Manor’s distinctive service experience, where guests are taken on a short culinary journey from the hotel’s lounge for drinks, snacks and home-cured charcuterie, then into the actual working kitchen for further small dishes, then finally to the dining room, all the while engaging with professional, knowledgeable chefs and front-of-house staff.
Commenting on the prestigious award, Sue Williams, General Manager of Whatley Manor, stated: “This award means so much in an otherwise tumultuous year. We are over-the-moon with this wonderful recognition of The Dining Room menu and Niall, and the teams’ great efforts to create a very special dining experience for our guests. Thank you to Visit England for all the work that goes into driving these awards, which are a superb platform to celebrate the hospitality and tourism industries throughout the country.”
