Whatley Manor are committed to delivering a luxury experience for our guests, providing a healthy environment for our team and operating our business in a way that promotes efficient use of our resources.  Our planet is under pressure and as a business we are committed to doing all we can to offset our use of resources and work towards reducing our environmental impact.

We have recently partnered with It must be now, a marketing alliance of inspiring and responsible properties that deliver the highest standards of hospitality in a sustainable way and provide a positive social, economic and environmental impact on their community.

It was important to us as a business to have a tool to demonstrate our commitment, to have a way of measuring and reinforcing our values and integrity. To help us engage with a generation of travellers and influencers who share these values and to have tool help us raise the bar on accountability and transparency around sustainability.

To join the program we have worked with EarthCheck Evaluate sustainability programme with Earth Rating certification.

EarthCheck is the world’s leading scientific benchmarking, certification and advisory group for travel and tourism. Since 1987, they have helped businesses, communities and governments to deliver clean, safe, prosperous and healthy destinations for travellers to visit, live, work and play. They know that what can be good for the planet is also good for business.

We are delighted to have been awarded a 4 globe rating for our first accreditation and will work towards achieving a 5 globe over the next twelve months.

Our journey is just beginning, over the coming months we will be changing many of our systems and processes. We will be adding a dedicated section to our website so that you can follow our stories and we can share our results.
