About the Magic Future Foundation
The Magic Future Foundation was born in 2013, when the Wissenbach family travelled to Jumbo, Malawi to help build their first school in partnership with buildOn and the local community. What began as a hands-on commitment to expanding access to education would take on even deeper meaning in 2019 after the sudden, unexpected loss of their son Oliver ‘Felix’ Wissenbach. Following this, the family set a bold challenge: to honour him and his desire to leave the world better than he found it by funding and building 100 schools in his name. Since then, the Foundation has built 30 schools, with more underway, across countries including Malawi, Burkina Faso, Guatemala, Mali, Nepal, Nicaragua and Senegal – each one created through a proven partnership model that ensures equal access for girls and boys, community ownership and long-term sustainability.Â
